Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms are a contract between you and GoFunded (gofunded.ca). You accept them by booking a consultation, paying for services, or registering for the client portal. If you are under 19, a parent or legal guardian must book, pay, and accept these Terms on your behalf — they are our client for contract purposes, even though the services support your education.
2. What we provide
GoFunded provides independent advisory services: eligibility guidance, funding planning, application coaching, and access to your client portal. We do not complete, submit, or process government applications — you (or your guardian) submit your own application through your own StudentAid BC account. We are not affiliated with StudentAid BC, the NSLSC, or any government body, and all funding decisions are made solely by them. See our Disclaimer for full details.
3. Fees and payment
Our consultation fee is $165 plus GST per consultation. No payment is required to book — your fee is due upon completion of your initial appointment, payable by credit/debit card (Stripe) or Interac e-Transfer. Receipts are provided for all payments.
4. Appointments, cancellations and no-shows
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. There is currently no fee for late cancellations or missed appointments — however, we reserve the right to introduce a missed-appointment fee in the future, and any change will be posted on this page before it takes effect.
5. Funded-or-Refunded Guarantee
If you (a) attend your consultation, (b) submit your StudentAid BC application for the same program year with complete and accurate information, and (c) receive a Notification of Assessment approving you for no funding at all, we will refund your full consultation fee, including GST. To claim, send us your Notification of Assessment when you receive it. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days. The guarantee does not apply if the application was never submitted, contained inaccurate information, or was for a school, program, or study period other than the one discussed in your consultation.
6. Client portal
Portal accounts are available to current GoFunded clients only. You agree to keep your login credentials secure, provide accurate information, and use the portal only for your own education funding. The amounts you enter (grants, loans) are self-reported and for your own tracking. We may add, change, or retire portal features, and may suspend accounts used in a fraudulent or abusive way. Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Reminders are a courtesy, not a guarantee
We work hard to send accurate deadline reminders, but application deadlines are set by StudentAid BC and your school, and meeting them remains your responsibility. Missed deadlines, missed emails, or changes to government dates do not create liability for GoFunded.
8. Estimates
All eligibility estimates, grant amounts, and repayment calculations are based on published program information and the details you provide. They are estimates only, not guarantees of funding.
9. Intellectual property
The content, tools, and materials on gofunded.ca belong to GoFunded and may not be copied or resold without permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoFunded's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for decisions made by government bodies or for indirect losses.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always at gofunded.ca/terms. Material changes will be flagged to portal users.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia (including Small Claims where applicable).
